The Islay, Jura and Colonsay Show is a real community affair and a great way to meet the locals.

Held annually in Bridgend, Islay, this agricultural show judges sheep, pigs, cows and horses. There’s also a gymkhana, side stalls including food by local producers, a pipe band, dog show and children’s amusements.

There’s always a lively ceilidh dance in the evening which keeps going into the wee hours.
