2017 boating season is now upon us and hopefully everyone now has their boats washed and polished to enjoy the fun and friendship. Our first muster is only a couple of weeks away and is being held at Glasgow.
Glasgow Muster – 5 th/6th/7th May
Those wishing to attend should contact the Officer of the Day, Rear Commodore Matt Hill, by completing the form which has been sent as a separate attachment with this e-mail. Please reply to matty1712@aol.com . We would appreciate the booking form by return as Glasgow require a full list of boats with weights to be submitted ASAP. In the event of a bad weather forecast we will contact you by e-mail or phone to advise you of our alternative arrangements.
Friday 5th May
There are no formal arrangements for Friday night. I know some boats are considering overnight Friday in either Kip or James Watt Dock.
Saturday 6th May
The plan is to muster Buoy 1 off Greenock at 9.30am and then travel up the Clyde in convoy. Matt will give you your position in the convoy which will be led by the Hon Commodore. In Glasgow, we have booked the pontoon outside the Crowne Plaza and also the pontoon opposite. Once berthed there will be drinks and nibbles at the back of the flag officers boats. On the Saturday night we have booked La Rotunda Italian restaurant for dinner at 7.30pm (Menu Attached). Security has been arranged for the boats when we are at dinner. As has become custom, the evening will finish with the usual inter-boat hospitality.
Sunday 7th May
Probably long lies all round and at your own leisure return to your home ports.
