Mendelssohn on Mull is a Scottish chamber music festival that brings together a small group of young musicians at the start of their careers for an extraordinary week of musical exploration.
They’re mentored by highly experienced players of chamber music in a series of workshops and then perform free public concerts in a range of diverse venues in Mull, Iona and Oban including the tiny Creich Church, Duart Castle’s Great Hall and Iona Abbey.
The inspiration comes from the wild beauty that drew composer Mendelssohn to this region, and inspired his renowned Hebridean Overture.
