The Bunessan Show is a yearly agricultural and cultural show held at the Bunessan Primary School showground on the Isle of Mull. With livestock, produce tent, beer tent, refreshments and stalls, it's a great day out. It's followed by evening dance at Bunessan Community Centre at 9pm.

The Ardbeg Islay Half Marathon is a truly scenic run. Starting out from the village of Bowmore on the Isle of Islay, the route takes you out to Islay Airport and back in a circular route.
