Campbeltown Muster
Thank you to everyone who supported the Campbeltown Muster in the face of an adverse weather forecast. We had 15 club boats in booked to attend but in the end only 4 boats attended due to the weather conditions. The brave and hardy crews were those of Alcyone, Howday, Sarah Blaze and Sharlo. Most boats arrived throughout the day on Friday when there was the usual inter boat hospitality, followed by dinner at the local curry house, followed by more inter boat hospitality!
On Saturday there was inter boat hospitality followed by dinner at Ardshiel Hotel, followed by more inter boat hospitality.
Tarbert Muster – 5th August
The next muster will take place on Saturday 5th August at Tarbert. This is one of the most enjoyable musters of the season with the emphasis being on fun in the sun! As usual there will be a fancy dress competition. The theme for this year is something beginning with the letter ‘H’. Boats arriving on Friday please do so at your own leisure. Please contact Tarbert Harbour Master on channel 14 and you will be directed to a berth. As usual the OOD will be available on channel 72 on Saturday.
Those wishing to attend should reply to Rita at info@rsmyc.org and OOD Gavin Watt at gavin@firstbaseaccountants.co.uk by completing the form which has been sent out as a separate attachment with this e-mail. We will send out by email a berthing plan a couple of days prior to the muster.
By popular demand we have arranged for the same caterers as last year to provide a sit down 3 course meal on the Saturday night, to be held at the marquee. The cost is £20.00 per head for adults and £12.00 for children. Attached is the menu and we require your choice for each course on the muster entry form. Please let Rita know of any special dietary requirements.
