Hi everyone and welcome to the final newsletter of 2025.

NOVEMBER 2024

The annual Ladies Lunch was held at Arta in Glasgow with over 20 attendees. The service and food provided was not quite as expected but we soldiered on and afterwards, we retired to O’Neil’s bar to continue our day out with more refreshments and chatter.

Closing dates for competition submissions will be 31st January 2026 and should be forwarded to info@rsmyc.org

Turley Cup Awarded annually to the member submitting the best log of the past season of the log of a cruise made during the season.  Logs will be judged on presentation and content, including aspects such as passage plan, weather, tide, sea conditions, engine and system checks, times, distances, speeds, fuel management, ie all the elements which should be routinely taken into account for a passage.  There should also be a narrative of the passage (illustrations are optional)

Kennedy Trophy Awarded annually to the member making the most merit-worthy cruise during the past season with no restrictions on area or duration

Manson Distance Trophy Awarded annually to the member having travelled the greatest distance either in a single voyage or in the season

11th to 13th September 2026 – Inverkip Muster

7th to 8th November 2026 – 120th Anniversary Dinner, Trump Turnberry. Overnight stay and dinner
