Report from Rothesay Muster and Forthcoming Events
Thank you to all who attended the Rothesay Muster and end of season dinner at the Kingarth Hotel. Also thank you to Rita for her work and support through the summer period in helping me put the events together.
14 Boats attended together with 35 members and guests.
Friday 7th September
Friday evening was available for members inter boat hospitality, with members making their own arrangements for dinner.
Matt was officer of the day and he carried out this roll with diligence and efficiency, thank you Matt.
Saturday 8th September
We were very lucky with the weather over the weekend. It was good enough to allow the putting competition to take place, even though there was a slight delay to the start due to a fairly heavy shower.
The putting competition was won by Kieron and Margaret, with second place going to Stan and Michael. the “wooden spoon” prizes were presented to Ken and Louise, Douglas and Jan with ‘practice’ putters and balls to give them the opportunity to improve for next year.
Afternoon tea was held on the pontoon at the rear of Blue Chip and Sharlo. A fantastic array of goodies – thank you to all who contributed.
Dinner at The Kingarth Hotel
The meal at the Kingarth was served in a timely and efficient manner, with good quality food and attentive staff following Rita’s comments to them about the timing on the previous year. They certainly took note and responded
A disco followed the meal giving opportunity for those wishing to throw a few shapes on the dance floor to do so.
Inter boat hospitality followed on return to the harbour.
