New Website Goes Into Beta Testing
I am pleased to announce that the new website is ready for Beta Testing. The reason for a Beta testing period is so I can have some feed back from the club members over general layout and look. The site is not finished but has some features I’m sure you can make use of immediately.
In the main useful links menu you will find links to many of the ports around the Clyde taking you to their website giving you all the contact details you may require. I will be expanding this list with more ports and other useful links as I gather the information to publish. As this list gets larger I will work on making it more user friendly than it just being a big list.
In the drop down of useful links you will find an events calendar which I have filled with lots of events all reachable by boat from the Clyde to the Hebrides. You my find this useful for planning your summer adventures.
With the exception of this post the Latest News sections are not up to date this is due to me planning on changing the formatting of how the news is displayed. This will require me to wipe out all the old posts and then start working backwards to replace all the old posts.
Some of the text content is still filler Latin, some of it I have altered and inserted new text. For example the history page has been tweaked with some inserts from the history book. This text needs reviewed and probably re-written.
If you would like to contribute to the Website you can fill out the form in the contact page or mail directly at douglas.f.atkinson@btinternet.com.
I am still looking for more photos and any video footage that you may have. If you would like me to add any events to the calendar send me the details.
Regards to you all
D.
